The Kelly family played at our wedding ceremony recently, Bríd also played the harp at the reception, we honestly could not have been more pleased with the performance given. All our guests commented afterwards on the beautiful singing and music. The Kelly family gave a flawless performance at the church ceremony, the tone of the singing and quality of the music was more than we could have wished for. We have such fond memories of the harp playing and Emer singing in Irish. Afterwards at the reception in Ashford Castle, the harp really set a magical atmosphere with its wonderful melodies ringing through the building. We could not recommend the Kelly family highly enough. Many thanks for making our day so special.

We got married on the 29th of July, 2014 in Ballynahinch Church, Recess. Being a very small church with a maximum capacity of 50 people seating, we browsed the net for a small group of musicians based in Galway. Since we surely wanted the sound of a harp at our weddings we finally went for the Kellys trio, opting just for a duo (harp and keyboard) due to the size of the venue.
Living in Italy we made all the arrangements through e-mails and with the precious help of Orlaith and Emer we finalised the song list without any problem.
On the day of the wedding, I was still a bit nervous about it, but when Emer started to sing for the sound check before the Mass I couldn't believe how good she was and I got instantly relaxed. The sound of the harp then was just perfect to create the atmosphere we were looking for, and if the celebration went on smoothly, the accompanying music made it perfect. They didn't only follow our indications but they filled the gaps during the celebration improvising with some extra music we put in the list just to be sure.
To cut short a long story, I only need to say that there were just two moments during the Mass, when the bride got moved to tears and both were for the music and songs played, Se an tiarna maoire and This Gift by Glen Hansard.
At the end of the day we can only say thank you so much Kelly family for you made our day, the best day we could hope for. A day we will never forget, also for the extraordinary performance you put in place in Ballynahinch.
